Leaves

The fractal nature of leaves has long fascinated me. Their vein patterns can be overlaid on human vascular systems, arial images of landscapes and river beds. The diversity of leaves and their purpose summons my attention to detail in an attempt to understand the harmony that exists in natural order. My sculpture captures that purity of design while representing the cycles of the seasons and the cyclical process of regeneration.
