Windstars

The Windstar series is devoted to my deceased father who was a consummate stargazer and always directed me towards the stars and cosmic phenomena. These constructions, made of 13 individual parts, provide a balance between the geometric nature of a dodecahedron and the suggested amorphous effects of wind and water on its appendages. The fabrication of the blown parts together with the infinite color and cane patterning variations create a flow of motion which gives these pieces a unique dynamism. The Windstars can be combined to create static pedestal, wall or multiple free hanging kinetic installations.
